1. Bogie is used to increase the load, length and volume of the vehicle, improve the running speed and meet the development of railway transportation.
2. Under normal operating conditions, the vehicle can be reliably located on the bogie. The bearing device is used to convert the rolling of the wheel along the rail into the translation of the vehicle body along the track.
3. Support the vehicle body, bear and transfer various loads and forces from the vehicle body to the wheelset, and make the axle weight evenly distributed.
4. Ensure the safety of vehicle operation, flexible operation along the straight line and smooth passage through the curve.
5. Bogie structure should facilitate the installation of spring damping device, so that it has good damping characteristics, in order to ease the interaction between the vehicle and the line, reduce vibration and impact, reduce stress, and improve the vehicle running stability and safety.
6. Make full use of the adhesion between wheels and rails to transmit traction force and braking force, and enlarge the braking force generated by the brake cylinder, so that the vehicle has a good braking effect.
7. The bogie is an independent part of the vehicle, which is convenient for dismantling, assembling, manufacturing and maintenance of the bogie
